Accepting Blog Post Submissions: April-June, 2025

We're excited to announce our upcoming guest blog post series focusing on Religious Trauma and healing through April, May, and June.

We invite submissions that explore the themes listed below while also adhering to our core values. Submissions which self-promote (such as one’s book, blog, business or podcast) will not be considered.

RTN Core Values:

  • We are a community for those with backgrounds rooted in diverse faith and religious traditions.

  • We are a community of individuals that have either been impacted by Religious Trauma or are professionally supporting those who have.

  • We are a community that values and respects the stories of every individual’s personal journey of healing from all forms of spiritual abuse or harm.

  • We are a community that unconditionally accepts the beliefs and chosen path of each individual on their healing journey.

  • We are a community that provides resources without intent to change beliefs or dictate particular paths for healing.

  • We are a community that does not believe it is necessary to agree on everything—including religion or politics—to hold space for one another through a community built around the common experience of Religious Trauma.

  • Compare and contrast Easter for you then and now

May: Mental Health Awareness and Mother's Day

In May, we'll focus on mental health and maternal relationships in the context of Religious Trauma. Potential topics include:

  • The impact of Religious Trauma on mental health and coping strategies

  • Mother-child relationships affected by Religious Trauma

  • Exploring alternative support systems for those estranged from family due to religious differences

  • Your journey through Religious Trauma and reclaiming your autonomy

  • Stories of reconciling faith and LGBTQ+ identity

  • Resources for LGBTQ+ individuals healing from Religious Trauma

  • Creating inclusive spiritual spaces for the LGBTQ+ community

  • Learning to love not hate while maintaining beliefs about LGBTQ+

Submission Guidelines:

Word count: 800-1500 words

  • Include a brief author bio, less than 100 words, and any relevant credentials

  • Submissions due two weeks before the start of each month (with the exception of April as this deadline is past)

  • RTN reserves the right to suggest edits

  • Email submissions to info@religioustraumanetwork.com

  • If your submission is accepted for publication on the RTN blog, you will be notified by email

We encourage diverse perspectives, religious backgrounds and voices. All submissions should be sensitive to the experiences of others and avoid language that could be triggering or dismissive of trauma or personal choices.

Remember, our goal is to empower readers, promote progress in healing, maintain ethical standards in discussing sensitive topics, and foster respect for all experiences. We look forward to your thoughtful and compassionate contributions to this important conversation.
